My Letter to the Rose

Dear Rose,

How's it going? I have some issues with what you think of yourself and how you're looking at the rest of us. You think because you're so beautiful and everyone loves to smell you that you can't remember us? We all came from the same place and sure we all became our own individuals but we should always stay connected. Tulip and Lily are just as beautiful but they haven't let it go to their heads. Is it the popularity that's got you spinning. Why would you want to leave? Look at Tree. He's the biggest and strongest of all of us but he undestands that it's important to be with us in good and bad times. We need each other, can't you see that. Sure you blossomed into that bright red color but remember where your roots are, here in the dirt right next to me. This is where you began so don't forget that. I want you to remember one important thing. When you decide to pull your roots and forget your past, "You... will... die". No question about it. Sorry if I've been hurtful but it just so happens that it's in my nature. You'll have tough times everywhere you go, but you can never forget where you roots are... Sincerely Yours, Weed
